A place to document my journey towards becoming a more sustainable, mindful and overall less trash human woman.

I can’t say I’ve been doing my best to live with less waste and use less harmful chemicals. But I am trying. I’ve made changes in the products I’m buying and I make note of the packaging being used to send it.

For example, recently I’ve purchased a Pela phone case which...

Great question! So glad you asked.

Here's a quick tip: if you have used your reusable double walled stainless steel bottle to its absolute limit, it CAN be recycled. But do not just dump it in any recycling bin. It has to be taken to a scrap metal yard!

Finding a scrap...

I did not forget about you, my sweet sweet blog. I have merely been contemplating the declining state of this earth and the dumb current administration full of white sacks of skin doing nothing about it. We're in deep deep doo-doo, there's NO DENYING IT, and I will now...

It was inevitable that there would come a day I would have to finally address the Big Straw Debate of 2018. Mostly I've put it off until now because I KNOW it requires more research than lazily watching a NowThis video on a restaurant that's banned straws with subtitle...

It has recently come to my attention that the unicorn trend is still alive and well. And what brought that disturbing fact to my attention is a product called Unicorn Snot. Unicorn Snot. Sunscreen meant to both protect you and make you ~sHiNe~. And you know what? I'm a...

I googled "sustainable travel" and most of the articles I found were about buying from the locals and supporting local industries - all things I support. But I didn't find much about how to be sustainable when it comes to the environment while travelling. At first I wa...

Zero Waste Living. What a concept! This came to me when discussing with my sister the wastefulness of using plastic straws, a hot topic these days. There's no doubt plastic pollution is a huge issue, you saw how concerned I was in my first post about dead fish. Ev...

You heard me! What's on there!? As it turns out, a clever mix of a bunch of products because I'm 23 and scared of aging but not scared enough to wear SPF. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Moving right along from the Part 1 of this Beauty Products saga, I'm now curious to know what exactly I'm...

As mentioned in my ~bio~ the idea for this blog came from seeing alarming looking/sounding ingredients in the body exfoliant I was using in the shower. Being conscious of ALL the products you use can be, frankly, exhausting, and now I am VERY aware of it and...

Yes. Another blog post from another blog about some other subject and angle that makes me DIFFERENT! But don't get it twisted this isn't really for you. It's for me. Basically my big plan is to write about environmental subjects that pop up in my daily life - that is,...

Hi, my name is Zoe and welcome to what we'll call an environmental and lifestyle journey. It all started when I was reading the ingredients of my exfoliating body wash in the shower and noticed a lot of ingredients that looked kind of scary and not natural. I THOUGHT in that moment I was washing hundreds of little plastic beads down the drain and eventually to the ocean. I don't want to be responsible for the death of anyone, especially fish. So here I am today, learning and adapting my lifestyle to be better for mama earth and my own sanity. Spoiler alert, I was wrong about the beads but I'm still committed to this.
